We provide affordable flight training tailored to your schedule. Flying out of McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport, in Jackson, TN

The FAA requires 40 hours minimum training to obtain a Private Pilot License under Part 61 rules.  If you are able to finish the training in the minimum time required, you can expect to spend approximately $12,000 – $14,500 to obtain you Private Pilot License. This is dependent upon the minimum time and good self-study habits. Our Instructors will do everything possible to help and encourage you to finish at or very close to the minimum time.

We have multiple aircraft located at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport in Jackson, TN for training and rental.

All hourly rates are wet (includes fuel) and does not include instructor fees. $5 per hour discount for 10 hour block purchase.

Instructor fees are as follows:

  1. $60 per hour in Old School Aircraft’s airplane
  2. $70 per hour in student’s airplane

All ground instruction is $60 per hour.

All renters are REQUIRED to purchase a non-owners/rental insurance policy with a minimum of $100,000 ($150,000 for the Cessna 182) aircraft physical hull damage liability.
Each airplane has a multi-service fuel card provided.

Any fuel purchase by renter that exceeds the price of fuel at KMKL, the renter is responsible for the difference 

3% service will be added to all credit card transactions.
